Thanks Jeff! Found you through your ROTHEBLOG site. I'm there all the time; super useful and informative (Row-Thee!!) Just about finished with a Donkey Kong restoration and have moved on to a cockpit Pole position i just picked up recently. Waiting on 2 Big Blue capacitors from Bob Roberts that I hope will fix my solid raster. Eyes are on a Kick! and Ladybug/Mr Do! conversion disaster cab 4 sale here in Vegas. Love all that Universal stuff.. Cosmic Avenger ftw!! If you know anyone with Pole position cockpit sideart I'd be totally interested. Mine's good but not great. Happy for you on the Burgertime pickup; such a sick game!!
Best,
-Christian

Yep, I'm the same Kyle you met this weekend. Nice to meet you, Jeff - That DECO cab will look sharp with Burgertime in it!

No, I don't have any pictures of it. It is in my warehouse. I do have a marquee from a conversion I scrapped here though.

Hey Jeff!

Sorry, its been months since I joined, but I'm getting used to checking this regularly now. I did find it on google, and it seems like a cool network.

Thanks for the warm welcome, and hope to keep up with everyone!

Jeff,
Hello, thanks for the welcome. We've never met. I have a Fun House pin and a Galaga upright. I would like to get another pinball or two, but there always seem to be necessities that take a higher priority.

Hey Jeff,

Sorry about taking so long to respond. I've been lurking on the site for a few months now. My main interest is in the obscure stuff like art variants so I normally don't have much to post about. That control panel thread really surprised me, so I had to reply.

I will give the other features on the web page a look around. I've got to be the oldest 33 year old out there, so i don't really understand a lot about social networking :) I am a pretty big Williams fan, so I'll see if i can add anything to those areas. In fact Ive been meaning to send you an email about one of your articles.

Matt

Steve Wiebe Creator Chat - Raw Transcript

It's been a few months coming, but here is the long chat transcript from the Steve Wiebe (King of Kong) chat in April. It was an amazing turnout, and next year we'll have to do another talk with Steve in the newer chat module. Here is the Steve Wiebe announcement post.

Steve was a really nice guy and was patient as we had a lot of members that wanted to gre… Continue

Russel 'Rusty' Dawe Creator Chat - Raw Transcript

As always, the live chat with a former Atari employee was a ton of fun. This is truly a great opportunity for collectors to meet the creators of their favorite games and ask them the questions they've always wanted to know. Rusty's chat was great because he so generously elaborated and a lot of cool information came out. Here is the 'original' transcript from the chat below. If you would like to see the 'nice' version o… Continue

The last open 'Game Day' at Luna City for awhile

Any immersed arcade game collector can tell you about Peter Hirschberg. Peter built a massive arcade, arguably one of the best in existence on his property in Linden, VA. Peter has taken tremendous amounts of time and cost to put on open 'Game Day's', where he opens up his arcade for the public to visit and rejuvenate their love of playing classic arcade games.

This year's Game Day took place on April 25th, and again Peter was donating the proceeds from the event to a close friend who was suffe… Continue

New mini documentary with Walter Day & Twin Galaxies

First we had King of Kong, a story that was built around the players who hold the best Donkey Kong scores in the world. The success of this against all odds story spawned enough interest to fuel another documentary named 'Chasing Ghosts', a 'where are they now' movie about every video game champion from the 80's who was on this Life magainze cover.

Who says the economy's in the crapper. Quantum and EDOT sell on eBay for big money.

Granted these are over a week old now, so if you were following either the Quantum or Environmental Discs of Tron on eBay this will be old news....

Quantum, item number 160327028839 sold by profile 'dogfacedgods' (The same guy who just sold that Tom McClinktock Quantum control panel overlay reproduction for $146.01) ended up with a winning bid of $2,234.00 out in Los Angeles, CA.

Here is a screenshot from the auction and some photos;… Continue

I was almost at $0 (ignoring my first two games seeing those were suppose to be the only games in my basement). However, I've been very cautious with my purchases in MI since January seeing it's tough to dump stuff around here as of late. Not to m...

It wouldn't take many retail sales to pay off my remaining unpaid games....I would let it get in the way for a little while if I had a $0 gameroom.

Just remember... The first couple of retail sales are fun but it can get in the way of "collecting" fairly quickly. But it does help fund the hobby!

I caught in all of his chatter that his son lives on my road, so that is how he kind of heard about me. My hair was super slimy too...I had taken the hat off. Sooper.

See, your an Op yourself. Maybe the other op sent the car to your place to see if you'd try to 'sell' your services. You better watch for the mafia to show up at your doorstep any day now to rough you up!

I have some, but they don't match those measurements. They might be close to the 1", but they're closer to 1.5", a couple at 1.375".
