Thanks for the labeling of the pictures .After several gin and tonics that was the best I could do for last night.I will go back and update all the photos,as they were taken a year ago. Most EM guys know the games like their appendages, but to the rest it`s like coming across ancient ruins.I have a mame setup with a quad slickstik to handle my vid arcade cravings and know the limitations of its emulations. My preferance is for em games as they can not be emulated. Therefore I devote most my floorspace to such games. It is intresting that these em games were still several years ahead of their video replacements in the visual and sound effects.I always wonder how people gave up color and sound tracks for black and white and beep boop bop.Their demise was inevitable though after the introduction of multilevel gaming.Hopefully through your website I can meet like minded people or indoctrinate them to my point of view that arcades didn`t start in 1980 but florished for a hundred years before the big bang of crt gaming.

Hi Jeff, I believe Mad Planets already saves scores. But you can remove the battery and replace the CMOS RAM with a NVRAM instead. I don't have a MP PCB here, so I can't give any details.

Hi Jeff... any word if or when there will be a transcript of the October 25th chat with Bill Adams? I wasn't available to take part and I would really like to hear what he had to say.

Cheers!

Steve Wiebe Creator Chat - Raw Transcript

It's been a few months coming, but here is the long chat transcript from the Steve Wiebe (King of Kong) chat in April. It was an amazing turnout, and next year we'll have to do another talk with Steve in the newer chat module. Here is the Steve Wiebe announcement post.

Steve was a really nice guy and was patient as we had a lot of members that wanted to gre… Continue

Russel 'Rusty' Dawe Creator Chat - Raw Transcript

As always, the live chat with a former Atari employee was a ton of fun. This is truly a great opportunity for collectors to meet the creators of their favorite games and ask them the questions they've always wanted to know. Rusty's chat was great because he so generously elaborated and a lot of cool information came out. Here is the 'original' transcript from the chat below. If you would like to see the 'nice' version o… Continue

The last open 'Game Day' at Luna City for awhile

Any immersed arcade game collector can tell you about Peter Hirschberg. Peter built a massive arcade, arguably one of the best in existence on his property in Linden, VA. Peter has taken tremendous amounts of time and cost to put on open 'Game Day's', where he opens up his arcade for the public to visit and rejuvenate their love of playing classic arcade games.

This year's Game Day took place on April 25th, and again Peter was donating the proceeds from the event to a close friend who was suffe… Continue

New mini documentary with Walter Day & Twin Galaxies

First we had King of Kong, a story that was built around the players who hold the best Donkey Kong scores in the world. The success of this against all odds story spawned enough interest to fuel another documentary named 'Chasing Ghosts', a 'where are they now' movie about every video game champion from the 80's who was on this Life magainze cover.
