Glad I could help and give you a warm welcome.
I found this site via the klov forums (which I recently joined too) though I had been a lurker for months previously.
I live in San Antonio, TX (Just fixed that on my profile... I forgot to enter my zip code) and though I currently don't own any arcade games as of yet, I hope to by the end of this year. What really got me into these classic games was going to Videotopia back in 2003... I was really intrigued by just about everything about them! It wasn't until late last year that I got to play all my favorites again in their actual cabinets at the Houston Arcade Expo. (They had Moon Patrol, Major Havoc, and Gravitar!) Ever since I have been pretty much obsessed with everything arcade related!
I'll check out the rules section here to so I can familiarize myself with the way things go around here, and probably make my profile look nicer too.
Thanks again,
-Hyde
Welcome to CoinOpSpace.com, we're happy you took the time to sign up and at least poke around the site. Did you find the site through Google? Or did you get an invite sent out by another collector asking you to join? Or maybe on the Klov forums?
Normally I recommend collectors, based on their state, to join a more localized group to meet people in their area. I don't see a stat identified in your profile...where are you located?
I see you like these games...these might be some groups to try;
http://classicarcades.ning.com/group/majorhavoc
http://classicarcades.ning.com/group/gravitar
http://classicarcades.ning.com/group/moonpatrol
Things are structured differently here, it's not just a forum, but so much more powerful than that. If you have any questions about how things work that may not be apparent right away, do drop me a line.
Also make sure to check out the usage rules when you get a chance to familiarize yourself with how we expect the site to work. If you have any feedback on the rules - things to add / remove, do let us know. We want this site to be for the collectors.
Happy to have you.
