Summer has flown by and i've had very little time to work on arcade restorations but i thought i'd squeeze this one in before the snow flies. This was acquired many months ago as a working machine but in pretty sad cosmetic shape. I tried peeling the sideart off for reproduction purposes but the heat gun and no amount of patience would get it off in one piece so i gave up and poured on the liquid stripper. The cabinet has alot of bondo on it but the imperfections underneath all that mud are…

This is one falls into the "easier" category for once. I bought this a while back as a complete working game that needed a little love and i must confess, it's nice to have a cabinet that isn't going to need a pound of bondo and an eternity of sanding.
If you look at the original back door on this thing, you'd swear it's been a sponge for the past 30 years but the rest of the cabinet actually had very minimal edge swelling or cabinet damage. The upper and lower back panels…

This is another one of those projects that's been tucked along the wall of shame for a while. I picked this up at a local auction (in dead row) for $125 many months ago, it's an all numbers matching game that sadly now needs more work than it did when i first bought it.
Most of the games at the auction had come from one vendor and they were wet and smelly which is a bad combination. I got the game home and rather than bombard it with fans in a hurried attempt to dry it out, i just…

This should prove to be one of the easier restorations that i've tackled since i bought this as a fully working machine. This one overall is in very nice shape, it only has 1400 plays on the meter and for once, all the zinc plated parts are still nice and shiny. However, as with all of these games it does have some typical issues. The glass is scratched up pretty bad, the cpo's are wiped out and it has the wrong legs on the cabinet. I was fortunate enough to find a set of the correct legs,…

Here we go with another insanely time and wallet consuming resto that will eventually find its way into my collection. I've never really been a big fan of the gameplay on this one but the cabinet is so cool, i just had to have one. I bought this as a complete and working machine several months back and the condition was good but not good enough that i would throw it in my basement as is so what the hell, let's restore it. The detail list will be very long on this one so stay tuned as i…
