I just found this site/group. I have a few pinball machines in various states. Last weekend I picked up The Who's Tommy which is my dessert island game. I have Big Game, Rocket III, Paragon (waiting for repair), The Gay 90's (waiting for repair), On Beam (waiting for repair) and Ms Pacman. Love working on the games myself. Totally don't know what I'm doing.

Anybody in SF East bay, I'm starting a league EBPL East Bay Pinball League at phoenix games in Concord, CA. It's going to be limited to 12 maybe 16 people for the first run of 6 weeks, but will expand after we get a feel for things. Currently there are 6 pins, and may expand if things get busy. Let me know if you want to join or need info.
Cheers

I've joined the pin club! Picked up a 1979 Gottlieb Count-Down over the weekend, hoping to get the restoration moving shortly.

Hey guys, I ended up getting a Dr. Dude since the deadly weapon fell through and I am a lot more happy lol. It is my first and I have been having so much fun with it. I got some cliffy colored sleeves (matches color on there dr dude since it looked the best) and been doing minor repairs to make it perfect. I would rate my machine a solid 8 since theres like 1 imperfection (score reel slightly slanted) but other than that its mint!, pics soon!

If you need helping fix it up, there's Team EM that hangs out on R.G.P., and a very active Yahoo EM group too. I love my Gottlieb Top Score from the same era, and those guys have saved me a few times when something went screwy. :)

Hi Patrick,

Well.....with my collection of B&W video arcade games growing (that is what I remember playing the most)...I just had to get an EM. This one came up 10 minutes from my house! Most of the pinballs I remember playing back then were all mechanicals anyways. Having not played one for at least 30 years I was blown away with the SOUNDS! Wow.....just the noise of the point wheels was crazy. The chimes are GREAT. No volume knob on these machines! ;-) After hearing this machine I was trying hard to remember what it was like when there was a room full of them. Crazy....

Hi Alan, I'm glad youv'e decided to go old school. Pins make a great addition to the game room. The Grand Prix is a cool game with it's Formula 1 racers on the backglass. How do you like the ring of the chimes? With a 4 player game it's always more fun to compete.

Have Fun!
