Hello fellow Michigan and Indiana collectors (and other states if you are part of this group),

I am planning on having a meet up/gameroom party over at my house in Ann Arbor, MI on Saturday (2/20), this weekend. Please refer to the main discussion page for additional details (thread just posted) or hit me up and I will give you details if you are interested in coming over.

Pengo is officially in my game room. Thanks to Alan for stopping by for a few minutes to help haul it to the basement! Now to find a home for it!

True, I am sure everyone has some crazy stories. I have had some really interesting, and disturbing ones in the past, but that last one was a whole different level. It actually changed my life. I am supposed to go back for the cabinet, but I don't think I can do it again.

@Zach Shady craigslist dealings are the cornerstone of any game collectors story book ;)

Barn? that sounds amazing. If I had more space and a truck I would definitely be in trouble and probably divorced. I did manage to get 2 down there, and it was tough. My buddy thought he herniated a vertebrae on the second one! I tweaked my knee pretty bad that day we moved the others in and out, so been pretty banged up, but I was thrilled to get that Mr. Do down there, thanks again! MK II is still out in the garage. It is that huge Midway cabinet and I really don't know if it will make it down. I did manage to pick up a nice dolly the other day, which is a life saver. I think my story of going to the guy's place where I walked away with a dolly, all the parts I could carry from a Kung Fu Master and a sticker machine could probably top nearly anyone's horror story of going to pickup game stuff from someone on Craigslist. I actually feared for my life/health at a few points.

@ Bill, I wish i had 500 games lol. I probably have the space for 500 games in my barn but until i get a cement floor put it there wont be any games going in there.

@ Zach, Did you put those three games down in your basement ? Man !! i bet that was a challenge.

Don't feel bad Zach... Shane has like 500+ games in a huge warehouse... I think he already has like 5-10 Berzerks!!!

;)

I would be willing to drive out to Marvin's and check it out/meet up some night. I could also do Dave and Busters. Either way would be cool. Just let me know what date and time works well for other people and I will come out if I can.

And Shane, man, I felt bad pulling back on the Berzerk, but that was the best decision I made that day. I have always been good at buying things and not as good at selling things. You caught me at a vulnerable point in my life- my first garage sale. I was in purge mode, and really regret letting Indiana Jones go, but once I saw how into this site and gaming you are, I didn't mind as much. I know it went to a good home. Wifey always wants me to sell stuff, but the more I put in the basement the less she wants to go down there and the more I can actually get down there, if that makes sense. We are not all as lucky as you- your wife came over scouting games for you with a cast on her leg and ended up going up and down my basement stairs! With your love of games and the post you put out there about not letting wives tell us to get rid of our games- you definitely want to keep her! It was nice meeting you both and if I ever did let go of Berzerk I would definitely let you know first. I think I would rather trade games when possible, as I don't think it would hurt to see them go if I knew I was getting something I liked as much in return. I ended up getting a Kung Fu Master, a Street Fighter II and a MK II (sick) after I let those two go, but they are not like playing for fortune and glory!

Why don't we meet up at a dave and busters or Marvin's one night? We could have a meet up at one of these locations.
