Does anyone know of a source for IC's for my galaga board. I have a few with broken legs. 0871 (x2), 0222, 0745, 0527 and 0039. Or should i just try to find a parts board?

Always maintain two ships. Try to play in the middle as much as possible and only go to the sides when absolutely necessary. Try to have all the red ones killed by the time they're ready to start coming down. If you want more pointers, come out and watch me play. ;) This is under the assumption you're not better than I am at it. lol

Posted this in repair but have gotten no response so I'm trying the real galaga people! I picked up a free galaga that was in such poor condition it was literally about to collapse. The only way I can describe the wiring is to say that the system had been violated. I am moving the electroncs into a new jamma cabinet and everything is going fine. I have a galaga to jamma adapter for the main boards but there is nothing that accomodates the rapid fire board. How do I work this in? Also what is the three pin connector on the cpu for? So far I've got sound, excellent video, and coin door but I haven't prepared the cp yet and I expect this rapid fire board to be an issue. I can't see how the fire button will work without that board. Has anyone else dealt with this?

But seriously, I'm not one to give tips as I'm only a bit above 100K, but one of the keys is to maximize the challenging stages. Try to have two guys going into each one.

Anyone got any galaga tips? High score is like 60k, the more I play I guess the better but are there any tips that can help

Hey guys, picking up a galaga cocktail saturday if all goes well! I plan on putting in the AS board, anyone use the Mikes Arcade premade multigame panels in a cocktail?? I do not want to hack the galaga panels at all

I don't have a link but if you search the for sale section over on the KLOV forums, you will probably find someone selling them. I purchased two of them over there at that price. I also picked up a NOS one for $40.

Thanks for the link. There really are a lot of errors there, but as commented in that thread, they wouldn't be really noticeable until you know what to look for. I will pass on the pricing info as well. Do you have a link to find them at that price? I know he priced it based on what he found they normally sell for, so I am sure he would be interested.

BTW, it is amazing how similar Galaga and Gyruss are!
