Well, I worked on this all day yesterday. My DK Jr. is now minty fresh. (well, kind of).

I still need to address some holes in the cabinet, but other than that, it's pretty much restored, cleaned, and AWESOME. I love this cab.

I decided to leave the original side-art alone. It's really not THAT bad. And, I am all into saving money lately. So, decided to skip it.

Check out photos and notes of the restore here:

Very nice. Saw your post on KLOV and figured I'd reply here. What I'd do on the front is "TRY" and carefully remove the CP and FRONT speaker piece. Should be 4 screws and finishing nails holding this piece in. Take it to ace and ask for Semi Gloss latex and have them match it. My suggestion would be to mask the black (removing the coin door), fill the holes and repaint the front.. "IF" your going to go the touchup route then just mask everything real good and use bondo or a strong filler. DO NOT OVERFILL THE HOLES "IF" your going the touch up route. You'll end up sanding more than you want and you'll end up needing to repaint the front anyhow.

Removing that front panel sounds like crazy talk. I gotta find the paint codes somewhere.

Very nicely done.

Hey looks great. I'm in the process of merging two Donkey Kong Juniors into one nice cabinet. The one thing I haven't been able to find is the little black and yellow stickers that go on the coin slots themselves. Where did you get these?

Rich @ thisoldgame.com carries the coin door stickers. If they aren't on his site e-mail him.
