I guess i was in the right place at the right time for this one. Ad listing was for a free Super pac man however two other people put bids in for 25 bucks, and i offered 50 for it. Guess who got it ??? : ) The game is complete and in semi non-working condition. Monitor has life however the PS is blowing a 1amp/250 volt fuse on start up. Looking into this so, work in progress. I thought it was a good price even if it wasnt exactly free. Pics arent too good but i think you get the jist.

Nice fine. However, free doesn't = $50 no matter what! If your not getting 5V to the PCB I'd just throw a switcher in there and be done with it.

Yes that is correct, Free is supose to be free but the conditions of the transaction apparently changed due to someone else making an offer for money... and you know how people are when money comes into play lol..I didnt think they would have gone for it especially when i know that title should have gone for WAY more than 50 bucks.. Bill, Much like you in your work, iam a pureist. I hate the thought of hacking into my harness. I just dont do switchers unless the game was made with it originaly. Would you have done that with your Frenzy ? I dont think so : )

I bought a dead Super Pac a couple of years back which the power supply was toast. I was going to rebuild it but arcade shop has a nice 15 amp switcher / a finger board. No hacking involved. Just plug and play. Left the original power supply in there so if the new owner felt like repairing it then more power to him. I do believe bob roberts has a rebuilt kit for the super pac power supplies as well.

I'm a purist... However, the Pengo I'm working on has a switcher and if I could do an adapter for Q*bert... I'd toss a switcher into Q*bert. Hate that POS power supply setup.

$50 was a steal though.

EDIT: here is the one from bob roberts for $20.

Yes, This was on CL and just west of Jackson in a town called Concord. Just a small residential garage sale there out in the country side.

Look under the power block. There's something under there that may have gone "kablooey".

Well, it seems to me that if there were a problem on the power block i should have blown one of the fuses on that platform. All those fuses are just fine and i have all the correct voltages coming out of the power brick to the PS. It is the PS that is blowing the fuse in the middle of the board. There is also another fuse on that PS which has not blow. I took everything out of the loop other than the PS so it must be on he PS that is having a short to ground some where.
