I had spent the whole week, cleaning up, shelving, organizing and trashing items from that small arcade parts haul and got the garage down to just two cabinets and the pinball.
The Pengo is going in the basement, and the stuff in front of it you see, is leaving this weekend.
But seriously, by the end of the weekend, my garage may have as many as 7 games and two pinballs inside!!...dangit. So close.
Pengo is so cute. I remember taking my mother to the arcade a few times in the mid-Eighties, to show her how cool the machines were, and she liked Pengo and the Kangeroo ones best because of the cute factor. That can be the camel's nose in the tent flap if you're trying to get a home arcade going and your wife is not too keen on the idea: Make your first machine really sticky-sweet and cute, and before you know it she'll be playing it more than you will. Then you spring your trap and bring home that noisy gigantic Gauntlet II cabinet! Take THAT, marital vows! :)
Been doing a good amount of work on the Red Baron this week....
Now has rebuilt deflection board, HV board, and AR Power supply. Currently it still plays blind, and is blowing a fuse in the bottom power block. But it is about working!
