I feel your pain. at an auction about 2 weeks ago, I saw a donkey kong... well I though it was a donkey kong... so I excitedly went up to it (as I was interested in getting a DK). as I approached it I think I saw burgertime (I game I DO love though) running... and was like "WTF?" then I saw the crappy "60-1" menu, followed by the ultimate insult... the DK CRT was replaced by an LCD mounted at a sharp angle towards the viewer. I though I was going to throw up.
in this case the guy lost out, he bought it back as I think the last real bidder stopped at $600.00 so he had to pay $30-$40 dollars to do the listing, the buy back + the wasted time and effort to transport the game back and forth.
the sad thing is these multi-games do sell for good prices, at the auction I was at, decent ones where going for over $1000+,Where as I saw a couple 9+ (near MINT) Ms. Pacmans go for ONLY about $350... heck a paperboy went for $300.
People like there multigames. Cannot blame them either, if you like the classics but are not as "purist" as most of us are. 60 games is much more efficient than one I suppose. Especially if you have limited space.
anyway... I feel your pain on the conversion of a classic to a multigame.

If you think that is bad check this one out 1983 Atari Star Wars Stand Up Arcade lounge Chair #170405315397
He got real mad when I told him that he ruined a great classic that would fetch more on E-Bay then his stuipid multicade.
I would much rather have a Star Wars arcade game in my game room, than a chair that takes up the same amount of space. ;-)

I don't know why he would be offended by that statement. ;-)
