Hey everyone I have the chance to trade my Frogger for a Tron. Does anyone have any thoughts .They both work and are in Good condition. I am just having a hard time deciding whether or not to go throught with the trade. the Tron is not in as good as condition as the Frogger.

Thanks

Go for it, there are lots of Froggers around and not many good looking Trons. Also they are fetching a lot of cash currently with the new movie coming out pretty soon.

Froggers are hard to get rid of and easy to come by... In fact, make a multicade and you have frogger and 59 other games. Tron is a sweet looking cabinet but game play is so-so...

I think I will trade ,but I don't really like multicades or mame machines I think they take away from the original cabinet experiance, but I do understand that some of the real machines are hard to find or play.

I wouldn't go so far as 'Froggers are hard to get rid of', but they don't bring a lot of money.

This would more than likely be quite the trade up....post photos of the Tron / Frogger, we'll be able to tell ya.

From one collectors point of view id say its worth the trade. With Tron comes and added extra bonus that it carrys with it and that is the movie factor. Or comparitively speaking how the animation of Don Bluth contributed to Dragons Lair makes games like this out of the ordinary or extra special in worth value. A fully decorated and restored Tron can fetch up to 1500 bucks with or without the movie hype. Although there is alot of value hype working on the machine right now due to the new film coming out. But its all good with Tron and a worthy game to own in ones collection even if its not as nice of condition as the Frogger. Have a look at the one that got restored here. http://www.coinopspace.com/forum/topics/my-attempt-at-restoring-a-tron

As you can see I will need a new original joystick and cpo and probably side art. I did not have time to put the frogger cpo on.

I would take Tron over Frogger any day of the week.

Trade for the Tron. That is a win.

I think that is a no brain trade. Tron hands down, even with the wrong joystick, much more value on your end.
