I picked it up tonight, late night. Can't believe no one picked it up 2.5 days later. Going to bed, will share photos in the morning. No plans to keep it.
Another Exidy saved!!! I sure hope it wasn't rained on! :(

nice score, I am so glad it did not get thrown in a landfill!
Just to give you an idea, here is what this 'beaut' looks like ;)

Wonder what that art is for...Jeff does it have the original pepper II boards or something else...? I've got two sets of NOS sideart so it could be saved... :)
I haven't had time to power it up yet. I looked at Crazy Kong, I didn't see the board pictured there. Anyone got a photo?

Checked it out on YouTube yesterday. Actually looks like a decently fun game.
Photo of the boardset in the cab. Without taking it out....

I don't see any hacked wiring to the board, I would assume its still Pepper 2.

Looks like an exidy board to me... Rick, is there a daughter card in Pepper? (Lower right off the sound board). It is a pretty fun game.

Jeff, I'm not sure it matters but I'd probably pull off the edge connectors, fire it up and check the voltage first on this one. If it's been sitting there awhile all the roms and socketed chips are probably in need of a good cleaning!
Here are photos from Chris A.'s Pepper that he had back in Nov. 2009 - The boardset looks the same.

What is the single button on the left side of the control panel? Are there supposed to be 2?
You should (and from the photos you do) have one button on the left and one button on the right of the joystick. Those are "player 1" and "Player 2" buttons. I'm pretty sure that Pepper and Venture PCB's are plug and play. However, Venture has P1 and P2 buttons on the far left of the control panel and a button on either side of the joystick (like pepper) but they are fire buttons.

A serial number (if there) on the inside of the cabinet would let us know if it was always a Pepper II or a Venture originally. If not there, remove the control panel and see if there are extra unused wires that go to the control panel... Even then, I'm not 100% sure we can tell for sure. I have images of Pepper II's that look like Venture's (monitor laying flat) and images of it the other way. I'm thinking they came from the factory both ways and they probably used "left over" venture cabinets.
